ABSTRACT

Chiral monophosphorus ligands have played a key role in recent advances in the area of asymmetric catalysis. This chapter highlights the latest developments in asymmetric catalytic reactions using chiral monophosphorus ligands over the past decade. The origins of chiral monophosphorus ligands, as well as their performances, including reactivity, selectivity, and stereochemical control, are discussed. Their applications in various asymmetric catalytic reactions, including asymmetric allylic substitution, asymmetric dearomative cyclization, asymmetric Heck reaction, asymmetric cross coupling, asymmetric C–H bond functionalization, asymmetric coupling of π systems, asymmetric addition, and asymmetric hydrogenation, are described.
